About
ABOUT PROJECT HEAL
Project HEAL is attempting to change the breast cancer and cervical cancer scenario in our region by deploying a bus with advanced digital mammography equipment, and pap smear testing equipment, and staffed by qualified personnel from our Medical Partner, to travel to various localities in a 100 km radius, and conduct diagnostic tests. Patients who test positive for suspicious lesions will be offered free surgery by our Medical Partner (KMCH - a reputed multi-specialty hospital in Coimbatore).
This Rs. 3.3 crore project (US$492,000) was initiated in July 2019 and was dedicated to the Community in April 2021. The capital expenditure of approximately RS. 1.9 crores was funded through CSR Donations, voluntary contributions from Rotary Clubs, Rotarians, organizations, members of the public, and a matching Grant by The Rotary Foundation.
The Camps have started in April 2021, and future camps will cover all the regions within a 100 km driving distance from Coimbatore airport. Anyone can sponsor a camp for underprivileged women in this region. Kindly contact us for further information.
